Welcome to DISPATCH, the same large-ish newsletter that features the people, places, activities, gear, and knowledge of travel you got accustomed to getting at R.O.X. in Bonifacio High Street, albeit with a few changes – we’re now independent of R.O.X. and we’re now available ONLINE.

The world is changing constantly at an ever quicker pace, making places we visit and get to know become unfamiliar almost as quickly as we leave them. To be true to our title, DISPATCH – defined as a report on state of affairs and the sending of something for a purpose – we task ourselves with becoming a repository and courier for the moments in travel which capture its unique experience.

Content-wise, we continue to bring you adventure sports and travel stories you’ve come to expect, committing to seek out stories that will explore, teach and inspire. Cognizant of the role we play in introducing new places and opening them up to intrepid visitors and their disruptive impact, we have decided to use Dispatch equally as a platform for various advocacy for the protection of our geodiversity – natural, cultural, heritage, aesthetic – with the goal of making tourism benefit the local communities, first and foremost.

Cosmetically there is a logo redesign to go along with the design of the website that houses this blog. A new video component will be broadcasting content on displays in retail shops. The print version will be re-sized to a backpack-friendly layout and will continue to be released quarterly (perhaps more later) and taken for free; while this online version is intended to continuously fill the gaps in between, real-time.
